A documentary on the Deegawapiya Stupa was handed over to Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne by the Chairman of Sanda TV, Nihal Mayadunne on Wednesday (Oct 18) at the Defence Ministry in Sri Jayawardanepura, Kotte.

The documentary entails the ancient history of the Deegawapiya Stupa as well as the pioneering efforts of Sri Lankan security forces in the Stupa’s restoration process.
