Devotees gathered to Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya yesterday (Sep 10) to pay their homage to sacred Omniscient Relics of Deegawapiya Stupa and the Crest Gem. The exposition of the revered articles started recently in order to provide the devotees with the opportunity to witness and worship them.

The relics unearthed from the Deegawapiya site during the excavations as well as the Crest Gem embedded with 2800 precious stones are being displayed at Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya until today (Sep 11). The sacred Omniscient Relics of Deegawapiya Stupa and the Crest Gem will move in a religious procession to Pepiliyana Sunethra Devi Piriven Maha Viharaya tomorrow (Sep 12), for public veneration.

Arrangements have been made for the exposition of these revered articles at the Rathmalana Parama Dhamma Chethiya Pirivena on 13, Maharagama Siri Vajiragnana Dharmayathanaya on 14 before they are taken to Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya for exposition on September 15.
