The 'Deegawapiya Aruna' Trust Fund received a donation worth of Rs. 1.5 million from Prof. Gamika Prathapasinghe today (06 Jan).

The cheque was handed over to the Defence Secretary and the Chairperson of 'Archaeological Heritage Management Presidential Task Force' (PTF) for Eastern Province, Gen. Kamal Gunaratne during a brief meeting held at the Ministry.

Prof. Prathapasinghe is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Livestock and Avian Science of Wayamba University.

Defence Ministry’s Military Liaison Officer Maj. Gen. Dinesh Nanayakkara and Staff Officer of the PTF Commander Kanchana Herath were present at the occasion.
